Product Overview

The KEMET C27.4 series are plastic can packaged film capacitors for AC motor applications. These capacitors are used in series with the start winding of the single phase electric motor, allowing its starting and increasing the torque during operation. Main application fields include air fans, pumps, circulators and low power electric motors. The choice of the capacitor depends on expected life length and the mechanical connection of the user.

  • Polypropylene is used as a dielectric
  • Operating temperature range -25 to 85°C

  • ±5% standard tolerance
