Product Overview
LTC3407 is a dual, constant frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC converter. Each output voltage is adjustable from 0.6V to 5V. Internal synchronous 0.35 ohm, 1A power switches provide high efficiency without the need for external Schottky diodes. A user selectable mode input is provided to allow the user to trade-off ripple noise for low power efficiency. Burst Mode® operation provides the highest efficiency at light loads, while Pulse Skip Mode provides the lowest ripple noise at light loads. It is widely used in application such as PDAs/palmtop PCs, digital cameras, cellular phones, wireless and DSL modems etc.
- High efficiency upto 96%
- Operating voltage range is 2.5V to 5.5V
- Oscillator frequency is 1.5MHz typical at (VFBX = 0.6V)
- Low RDS(ON) internal switch is 0.35 ohm typical
- Current mode operation for excellent line and load transient response
- Short-circuit protected, power-on reset output, output voltages from 5V down to 0.6V
- Externally synchronizable oscillator, optional external soft-start
- Ultralow shutdown current is 1µA maximum at (run = 0V, VIN = 5.5V)
- Low dropout operation: 100% duty cycle
- Operating temperature is -40°C to 85°C, package style is 10-lead plastic DFN
