Product Overview

The MAX11131ATI+ from Maxim Integrated Products is a 3Msps, low power, serial 12bit, 16-channel analogue to digital converter (ADC) in 28 pin TQFN package. This device with external reference and industry leading 1.5MHz, full linear bandwidth, high speed and serial output successive approximation register (SAR) ADC. It includes both internal and external clock modes, devices feature scan mode in both internal, external clock modes. The internal clock mode has internal averaging to increase SNR. The external clock mode has SampleSet™ technology, user programmable analogue input channel sequencer. Excellent dynamic performance, low voltage, low power, ease of use and small package makes this IC ideal for portable battery powered, data acquisition applications and for other applications that demand low power consumption and small space. Applications include high speed closed loop system, industrial control systems, medical instrumentation, battery powered instruments.
  • Supply voltage range is 2.35V to 3.6V and consumes only 15.2mW at VDD=3V, 2µA full shutdown current
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C, longer battery life for portable applications
  • Supports SPI interface, scan modes, internal averaging and internal clock, -88dB crosstalk
  • 16 entry first-in/first-out, flexible input configuration across all channels, -0.1LSB offset error
  • User-defined channel sequence with maximum length of 256, 70dB SINAD at 500KHz input frequency
  • Analogue mux with true differential track/hold, 16 single ended, 8 fully differential channel pairs
  • 2 software-selectable bipolar input ranges ±VREF+/2 and ±VREF+, 50MHz full power bandwidth
  • High accuracy, ±1LSB INL, ±1LSB DNL, AutoShutdown™ fast wake-up
  • External differential reference (1V to VDD), no pipeline delay, no missing codes
  • 48MHz, 3-wire SPI/QSPI/MICROWIRE/DSP compatible serial interface
