The ISOW7843FDWE from Texas Instruments is a high-performance, quad-channel reinforced digital isolator with an integrated high-efficiency power converter in 16 pin SOIC package. It helps to prevent noise currents on a data bus or other circuits from entering local ground and interfering with or damaging sensitive circuitry. Device eliminates need for a separate isolated power supply in space constrained isolated designs. Device provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions while isolating CMOS or LVCMOS digital I/Os. Typically used at industrial automation, motor control, grid infrastructure, medical equipment, test and measurement.
- 3V to 5.5V wide input supply, 4.75V to 5.43V isolated supply voltage at external IISO = 0 to 50mA
- Regulated 5V or 3.3V output, up to 0.65W output power
- Low default output stage
- Load current ≥ 130mA ( 5V I/P to 5V O/P, 5V I/P to 3.3V O/P), ≥ 75mA (3.3V I/P to 3.3V O/P)
- Soft-start to limit inrush current
- Overload and short-circuit protection
- Thermal shutdown
- Up to 100Mbps signalling rate
- Robust electromagnetic compatibility: system-level ESD, EFT and surge immunity, low emissions
