                      Product Overview

                      AD5316BRUZ is a 10bit buffered voltage output DAC that operates from a single 2.5V to 5.5V supply, consuming 500μA at 3V. Their on-chip output amplifiers allow rail-to-rail output swing with a slew rate of 0.7V/μs. A 2-wire serial interface, which operates at clock rates up to 400KHz, is used. This interface is SMBus-compatible at VDD <lt/> 3.6V. Each DAC has a separate reference input that can be configured as buffered or unbuffered. The outputs of all DACs can be updated simultaneously using the asynchronous LDAC input. The parts incorporate a power-on reset circuit that ensures the DAC outputs power up to 0V and remain there until a valid write to the device takes place. The software clear function clears all DACs to 0V. Applications include portable battery-powered instruments, digital gain and offset adjustment, programmable voltage and current sources, programmable attenuators, and industrial process control.

                      • Software clear facility, data readback facility, on-chip rail-to-rail output buffer amplifiers
                      • Relative accuracy is ±0.5LSB typical at (VDD = 2.5V to 5.5V; VREF = 2V; RL = 2Kohm to GND)
                      • Differential nonlinearity is ±0.05LSB typical at (VDD = 2.5V to 5.5V; VREF = 2V; RL = 2Kohm to GND)
                      • Gain error is ±0.3% of FSR typical at (VDD = 2.5V to 5.5V; VREF = 2V; RL = 2Kohm to GND)
                      • Output voltage settling time is 7μs typical at (1/4 scale to 3/4 scale change (0x100 to 0x300))
                      • Slew rate is 0.7V/μs typical at (VDD = 2.5V to 5.5V; VREF = 2V; RL = 2Kohm to GND)
                      • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C, 16-lead TSSOP package
