Product Overview
ADRF6521 is a dual, fully differential, low noise and low distortion variable gain amplifier (VGA). The high spurious free dynamic range over the gain range makes the device ideal for communication systems with dense constellations, multiple carriers, and nearby interferers. This device's flexibly operates from a single +5V supply or from a range of dual supplies and consumes a total supply current of 200mA. When fully disabled, it consumes 25mA typical. It is fabricated in an advanced silicon germanium BiCMOS process. It is used in application such as point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, baseband IQ receivers, diversity receivers, ADC drivers, instrumentation, medical etc.
- Dual, matched VGAs, voltage gain is 18dB typ at (VGN = 1.5V, maximum gain)
- Gain control attenuation range is 21dB typical at (TA = 25°C)
- ±1dB gain flatness bandwidth is 2.5GHz typical
- IMD2 is -56.8dBc typ at (VGN = 1.5V, 980MHz and 1000MHz tones)
- Second harmonic distortion, HD2 is -75dBc typ at (VGN = 1.5V, fundamental at 500MHz)
- Noise figure is 10.5dB typ at (VGN = 1.5V at 500MHz)
- 100 ohm differential input impedance, 16 ohm differential output impedance
- Output DC offset nominal range: ±400mV
- Operating temperature is -40°C to +85°C
- Package style is 20-lead lead frame chip scale [LFCSP]
