Product Overview
DC453B-A demonstration circuit is useful for evaluating the LT1970A, a power amplifier with adjustable current limiting. The maximum output current of the board is set by two on-board potentiometers to permit independent control of the sinking and sourcing current limit. The current limit adjustment can also be provided by external voltage sources. Symmetrical sourcing and sinking current limit with a single control is also possible. LEDs provide an indication of faults detected by the LT1970A. Separate indicators illuminate when the amplifier enters sourcing or sinking current limit and if the LT1970A overheats and enters thermal shutdown protection.
- With up to 500mA of output current
- 8V to 36V single supply and ±8V to ±18V dual supply voltage range
- ±4mA to ±500mA adjustable output current limit range (LT1970A basic amplifier, Vcc ≥ 8V)
- 1.6MHz typical small signal –3dB bandwidth (AV= +1, Vout=200mVP-P, RLOAD=100 ohm)
- 58KHz large signal –3dB bandwidth (AV= +1, Vout=20VP-P, RLOAD=100 ohm)
- 1.6V/μS typical slew rate
- 9mA typical no load total quiescent supply current (LT1970A basic amplifier)
