ZXTR2005Z-7

ZXTR2005Z-7 is a regulator transistor. The ZXTR2005Z monolithically integrates a transistor, Zener diode and resistor to function as a high voltage linear regulator. The device regulates with a 5V nominal output at 15mA. It is designed for use in high voltage applications where standard linear regulators cannot be used. This function is fully integrated into a SOT89 package, minimizing PCB area and reducing number of components when compared with a multi-chip discrete solution. Typical applications include startup switch in DC-DC converters, networking, telecommunications, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE).

• Input voltage=10 to 100V (for regulated output voltage)
• Output voltage is 5V typ at VIN=48V, IOUT=15mA, TA=+25°C
• 150kohm resistor to limit quiescent current
• Continuous output current is 38mA at TA=+25°C
• Pulsed output current is 740mA at TA=+25°C
• Power dissipation is 1.7W
• Recommended operating junction temperature range from -40 to +125°C
• Temperature coefficient is 7.0mV/°C typ at TJ=-40°C to +125°C, VIN=48V, IOUT=15mA
• Quiescent current is 260µA typ at VIN=48V, IOUT=10µA, TA=+25°C
