element14 offers PoE in a number of standards: IEEE 802.3af (PoE), which delivers up to 15.4W; IEEE 802.3at (PoE+), which offers up to 30W, and the advanced IEEE 802.3bt (Type 3 and Type 4 PoE++), which provides up to 60W and 90W.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a method to deliver DC power to devices over copper Ethernet coupling. This technique eliminates the need for separate power supplies and outlets. Although PoE does not offer Ethernet data capabilities, it provides a broader range of options for how and where to position Ethernet end devices.

With PoE, there is no need for separate power supplies, thus simplifying installation and reducing costs. Its seamless integration and scalability make it a versatile choice for various industries.
