Product Overview
M1A3PL-DEV-KIT is a Cortex-M1-enabled ProASIC3L development kit. It provides you with a complete solution for quickly evaluating and prototyping your design based on Microchip's Cortex-M1-enabled ProASIC3L devices. The development kit contains the incredibly powerful ARM Cortex-M1-enabled ProASIC3L M1A3P1000L device in the FGG484 package. The development board has on-board voltage regulations, enabling you to set some of the I/O bank voltages independently. A regulator circuit on the board facilitates control of the core voltage. The core voltage can be switched manually or electronically for programming purposes and returned to the 1.2V setting for the lowest power consumption. The evaluation board also enables you to measure the full current capability of independent I/O banks and VCC for accurate power analysis. Advanced AES encryption for enhancing programming security is used when experimenting with the starter kit.
- Oscillator for system clock is provided
- Eight LEDs and eight switches provide simple inputs and outputs to the system
- USB programming and debug connection
- Second USB connection for USB-to-serial (RS232) interface, also allows powering of the board
- Optional board power CONN for an external supply, but none is needed when connected to a USB cable
- Memory devices: 4MB of SRAM provided on board and 16MB of flash memory provided on board
- Three 40-pin GPIO banks are provided for interfacing to other equipment
