Product Overview
The STEVAL-FKI915V1 from STMicroelectronics is a Sub-1GHz transceiver development platform based on S2-LP with external FEM. The S2-LP is an ultra low-power, low data rate, sub-1GHz transceiver. It is a S2-LP narrow band ultra-low power sub-1GHz transceiver in a standalone RF module tuned for 860MHz to 940MHz frequency band. This evaluation board is suitable for ISM bands and Wireless M-Bus. The STEVAL-FKI915V1 evaluation board is designed to work in the 860MHz to 940MHz band. The NUCLEO-L152RE board with STM32L low power microcontroller to control the S2-LP device and integrated ST-LINK/V2-1 debugger and programmer for firmware updating. The STEVAL-FKI915V1 includes an external power amplifier from SkyWorks® which allows the application to reach +27dBm (500mW) output power.

- Excellent performance of receiver sensitivity (up to -130dBm), jumper for S2-LP current measurement
- Low duty cycle, RX / TX operation mode and jumper for Skyworks SE2435L FEM current measurement
- Automatic acknowledgement, retransmission and timeout protocol engine
- SPI interface for microcontroller, USB interface, 8MHz high frequency crystal
